REC is a 2007 Spanish horror film co-written and co-directed by Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza. The movie was filmed using shaky camerawork and it was also remade in the United States as "Quarantine" in 2008.  If you haven't seen REC yet, let me tell you a little bit about this amazing horror series….

REC starts with Angela Vidal and her cameraman, Pablo in Spain filming in one of Barcelona's fire stations for their new TV show called: While you're asleep. The fire station receives a call about an old woman who is actually trapped in her apparment.  One of the families near her apparment called the fire station because they heard screams of said older woman. When they arrive, all the people from the building are scared for what could be happening to the woman. The firemen and the police officers (who were already in the building) break the door down to see what is happening inside. Angela and Pablo have to come inside to see what is going on and record everything for their TV show. Once they are inside, the old woman becomes beyond aggressive and bites one of the policeman. The residents of the building are scared and from there, strange and unexplainable things start to occur…

Angela and Pablo need to keep recording so they can show what is happening inside to the world, but the state order to close the building with all the people inside, without telling the residents of it why. The camera continues to record as the screams of the older woman and the things happening in the building that nobody can explain.
