It was just a short while ago that Finish emerging artist Niina Alavillamo came to my attention by way, of her undeniably zingy debut single “City Lights”. A song so radiantly bright on its own merit, owing to the power of Niina’s distinctive, glacially fresh vocals, which add a soupçon of ethereal authority around the edges to a very bouncy, dance-pop illuminated beat.
To tell the truth “City Lights” is the kind of song where the energy will stick with you and act as a catalyst to kick-start as many number of things as you’d care to allow. The lyrics are not wholly geared to recognise the lure of the city life alone. They double up in stature and meaning, which shines through the message, if you’re in the right mind-set anything you wish to achieve is possible
