Gabe Lopez is a singer-songwriter/producer whose music just won’t be put into the one box. The pop/rock artist is known for leaping from one music style to another. Yet whatever genre he commits to he always styles each and every track out with polish, finesse and a good dose of powerful intensity. This is really nothing which we wouldn’t expect of a multi-talented chap who has produced and written for the likes of Belinda Carlisle, New Kids on the Block, Joey McIntyre, James Brown, Krayzie Bone, Shinee, Super Junior, Tae Yang and Charice.
The Cali boy’s new album “God Bless The Queens” will be released on November 9, on Spectra Records and distributed through Sony. I think it will be safe to say the release will contain plenty of sassy numbers, from conventional pop songs through to venturing with the harder hitting, bordering into rock. As mentioned Gabe is an all-rounder who in terms of making music, does so with the glass half-full, not empty. We are honoured to share a peek at what the “God Bless The Queens” album has to offer. We have the premiere of the track “Karma Kamikaze.” Of the track, Gabe explains
“Karma Kamikaze” is a funky and sassy pop song about reincarnation – about having been different iconic people and coming back until you get yourself together. Kamikaze is what you’ve done to yourself. Karma is what brings you back.”
Anyone who has been missing themselves a slice of pop with side orders of danceability and glam. Those hankering for newness from Mr Adam Lambert. Will, fully appreciate the vibrant, bass-driven funkiness of the track. The melody is similarly brimming with the sassy bounce which fuelled the Scissor Sisters iconic signature track “I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’.” Fellow pop-heads who are crying out for a fascinating rhythmic track, ready to send their mind, body and spirit into the pure indulgence of frenzied dancefloor ecstasy, be safe in the knowledge Gabe Lopez got us covered.
