After a residency run of support acts for the likes of Dragonette, Betty Who and Frankmusik this year in London, the self-proclaimed small town boy releases a free download of “Skin” today – a beautiful cover version of Madonna’s iconic album track from the critically-acclaimed Ray of Light album.
We asked Lostchild what it meant to cover the queen of pop and here’s what he had to say…
“A lot of what I write about is what it’s like to struggle when connecting to others, and in four lines, “Skin” sums up how I feel so aptly that it haunts me. I’m not great at covers because I always feel like I sound insincere delivering someone else’s message, but in this case, I feel comfortable paying tribute to one of my favourite artists.”
