Bangbangclub

Holla!

EQ Live once again takes over Bar Music Hall tonight for an evening of new pop & electronic music discovery.  One of the acts that is going to wow us tonight is most certainly – The Bang Bang Club.

I asked the guys to give us some commentary around their new single "Chemistry" (which you can read below) and the guys graciously obliged and even gave us an exclusive snippet of one of their other songs called "Plants And Animals" which you can hear below!  I've been listening to their promo EP for about a week now and every song on it is pure fun!  I think you're gonna like what you hear when it eventually hits digital outlets.

Here is what the guys had to say about "Chemistry" – you can download it for free as well.

"We were listening to a lot of Talking Heads and Fleetwood Mac at the time of writing "Chemistry". Looking back you can hear the Fleetwood-inspired harmonies and the David Byrne Talking Heads reference / name check in the second verse. Both bands are amazing, and we still listen to them heavily now. We were lucky enough to catch Fleetwood Mac live, which was a highlight of last year.  Talking Heads "Stop Making Sense" concert is up there with one of my all time favourites. Sadly we've only seen that on DVD!"

And now, for the exclusive, here is what they had to say about "Plants And Animals"

"This track has a universal message, almost a prayer if you like, that sums everything up. It talks about the relationship we have with the world and where we all end up. It's message is really nostalgic and peaceful, uniting us and nature: becoming one. The production also reflects this big new world sound – it's quite cinematic in its soundscape, and we were really pleased with its modern, pop, psychedelic feel, which reflects the lyrics perfectly."
