How has T. Mills never appeared on my radar before?

I will always be the first to admit that I have never been a big fan of rap or hip hop but I can honestly say I'll have T. Mills' new EP 'Leaving Home' on repeat for hours. As I have said before, there is a definite trend among male acts in the US to fuse hip hop and dance pop and quite frankly, it's not done very well.

However, T. Mills seamlessly fuses together hip hop and pop and has created a very unique sound that has proven to be quite addictive. With songs like "Vans On" and "The Boom" from the new EP, T. Mills throws down hard beats and straightforward lyrics that make me confident in saying that most hip hop acts don't have shit on him. I would definitely keep my eye on him in 2012.
