With dazzling good looks, a silky smooth voice and a one hell of a hit Europop song under his belt already, it's no wonder the German public voted Pietro Lombardi the winner of German Idol (Deutschland sucht den Superstar) this year.
I had no idea who he was until just now when someone sent me a cover of his winning song, which was, well shit. So I looked up the original by Pietro and immediately fell in musical love. Sure some of the song is a bit wonky, after all he's Italian/German singing in English, but if you like your boys a bit Abercrombie and your video sets a bit Top Gun, then you'll fall in love with "Call My Name" too.
I am fully aware that some of you will think this track is too sugary sweet, but hey, I'd rather listen to this than the Bieber anyday.
