One of pop's rising new stars is the lovely and uber talented Rod Thomas also known as Bright Light Bright Light. This summer he is gearing up for his single release for "Love Part II" and putting the finishing touches on the video and his highly anticipated new album which will most likely come out early next year.  The music blogesphere is going gaga for Bright Light Bright Light and after opening for The Hoosiers on their recent Popjustice gig, the world is slowly beginning to realize what an amazing talent this ex-folk music turned electronic pop boy has on offer.

Bright Light Bright Light will be playing a very special EQ Live show next week along with the funtastic Nightbus at Bar Music Hall on Wednesday, June 16th at 8pm and we are ever-so-excited to play host to Rod Thomas and his shimmery summery electronic pop.  EQ Live is a FREE new music discovery night for all (well you do need to be old enough to drink alcohol) and we'd love to have you come on down, so RSVP on the Facebook page and tell us you're coming!

In this EQ audio interview with Bright Light Bright Light, we talk about Rod's love for Ace Of Base, who he has been working with, how working in the music industry has helped him as an artist, his incredible tracks "New Word To Say" and "Love Part II", what we can expect from the album and why his misses cheesy fun 90's pop acts like The Real McCoy.  Make sure to check out Bright Light Bright Light right now on MySpace too to hear the amazing music for yourself…
