It’s always nice to get a new take on an old classic.
In this case, “Dreams” by Gabrielle gets a 2013 remix by Naughty Boy that not only highlights the stellar genius of the timeless classic, but catapults it from “lovely” pop diddy to “powerful” pop anthem status.
For those of you who remember, the original version of “Dreams” was released in 1993 and was recorded in Neneh Cherry’s house in London. The song became Gabrielle’s first #1 single and it’s also the song she is most widely known for. Twenty years later, it’s still a big seller, with over 12,000 sales racked up in the first half of 2013 alone. Proof positive that a good hit can go a long way…
