Hello Electroqueer readers – Today’s post features the lovely and talented (and very attractive) Darius Danesh. For those of you who haven’t heard about Darius, he came in third place in the first season of Pop Idol losing out to both Will Young and Gareth Gates. Electroqueer must have spent at least 50 quid in voting for him as he is one of the only UK popstars that make us go all weak in the knees. Once we saw him perform his own rendition of Atomic Kitten’s number one hit ‘Whole Again’ we knew Darius would be a major star.
Darius released his first album ‘Dive In’ a few years ago and it produced the UK number one hit ‘Colourblind’ and three UK top 20 singles ‘Rushes’, ‘Incredible’ and ‘Girl In The Moon’. The following year he released his second album entitled ‘Live Twice’ which produced two UK top 10 singles ‘Kinda Love’ and the beautiful ballad ‘Live Twice’.
Darius also completed two stints in London’s West End starring as Billy Flynn in the hit musical ‘Chicago’ and is now working on his third studio album – one that Electroqueer will be buying the day it comes out! One of the things we truly like about Darius is that he continutes to support charities such as The Prince’s Trust and the Lymphoma Association – raising awareness for one of the fastest growing cancers.
Please enjoy this weeks ‘DYFAM’ which is dedicated to Darius and if you are discovering him for the first time – check out his Myspace profile which has stunning new photos of him.
