I’d like to take this opportunity to re-introduce you to an artist we’ve been championing here at EQ Music for some time. His name is Darren van der Lek and if you’re an avid reader of EQ Music Blog, then you’ll probably recognize him as Tao Hypah.
Putting aside the Tao Hypah moniker temporarily, Darren van der Lek is currently slaying both judges and dutch audiences alike on “The Voice” in Holland. His cover of Justin Bieber’s “As Long As You Love Me” wow’d the judges so much that they’ve decided to take him on further into the competition and this makes us quite giddy and a little bit proud that Darren is doing so well in elevating his talent to bigger audiences.
We’ll keep you updated on Darren’s progression throughout The Voice, but for now, watch his blind audition and you’ll instantly become instantly enthralled with this bright, young vocalist who we’ve loved and promoted since his early internet tracks as Tao Hypah.
