Recently, we stepped outside of our electronic pop loving box and became enthralled with the soulfully versatile vocal styling of Rhys Lewis. Rhys literally jumped out of his cab and had us as his welcome party to The Great Escape, as we met up for an interview.
We couldn’t put on an EQ Music Live event without the key ingredient of a guest DJ stepping in behind the decks. At our February show, headlined by Dragonette the warm-up duties were appointed to Zeke Thomas, whose amazing open format set slayed and had this EQ Music Night partying harder than it ever has before.
From the instant that we first heard newcomer Lostchild’s emotively charged style of electronic pop, it caused us to raise an eyebrow. As much as we had suspected, he came through and gave a truly all round heart-warming performance at EQ Music Live. We were so humbled it was his debut gig too.
