Can You Ever Forgive Me is a 2018 American biographical drama film directed by Marielle Heller and based on Lee Israel’s memoir of the same name.

The movie stars Melissa McCarthy as Lee Israel and follows her as she tries to revitalise her failing writing career by forging letters from deceased authors and playwrights.

Phil and I both loved this film and it was probably the best film we saw at BFI London Film Festival this year. Make sure to check out our video review below and make you you see it in the cinema now as it’s currently in theatres in the US.
