OMG I literally just fainted. Belinda Carlisle has announced that she has collaborated with Gabe Lopez and Jane Wielden (of Go-Gos fame) on a new pop record called “Sun” that she claims is the best record she’s recorded since “Heaven Is A Place On Earth”. The track will lead into a new greatest hits album called “Icon”.

Hi everyone: I’m so happy to announce today that my new dance single, “Sun”, which is my first pop release here in the U.S. in over 15 years, will be released on March 19th! When I first heard “Sun”, I immediately knew I had to record it. It’s the best song I’ve recorded since “Heaven Is A Place on Earth”, and I’m really excited for everyone to hear it! The song will be available for download as a single on iTunes, as well as part of the brand new “Belinda Carlisle – ICON” album which will be released online and in stores by Universal Music on the same day, which will include my top solo hits from over the last 27 years! I’m so grateful for all the support my fans have given me so far, and I can’t wait to kick off this new adventure! Will keep you updated as we get closer to the release.
