I don’t think I have looked upon emerging Brooklyn based electro pop duo Carousel as being any way comparable to Gypsy and The Cat or Pnau before, but I do so now, as the talented pairing fresh from a successful SXSW unveil “Another Day”.

Maybe it’s the infectiously chugging bassline.  Maybe it’s the dreamily pleasing vocals. Maybe it’s the gently affecting synths.  Maybe it’s all the three factors that key the magnetizingly alluring nu-disco warmth in.

A slice of American synth pop that sounds distinctly Antipodean.  Should cross-over well on the summer festival circuits for the rising production duo, as the accomplished Carousel catalogue to date is likely to lead them onto bigger stages.
