Jesus, there wasn't a day that didn't go by where we didn't hear a tune by The Weeknd shortly after the music industry pushed the 'superstar launch' button on him. By far, the biggest new artist success story of the past 12 months, The Weeknd has snatched a trophy with smash hit 'Can't Feel My Face' which will set him up nicely for awhile now. Let's just hope The Weeknd stays true to his art and doesn't start churning out major label-induced kid candy next year...

Rajan Rudolph has been an electronic pop music obsessive ever since he heard Madonna's iconic debut album in the 80s.
