"Sawadee" from sunny Thailand my Electroqueer readers! Sorry for the lack of posts the past two days, but I’ve been struggling to get a decent internet connection in my grandma’s village, but finally I am wired and foaming at the mouth to post.

As the year comes to a close, I took some time to reflect on the top 120 tracks that made us feel truly ‘electroqueer’ this year.

2006 brought us many sizzling songs from some Electroqueer favourites such as Darren Hayes, Pet Shop Boys, Robbie Williams and Depeche Mode. We also were thrilled to welcome some new artists into our little world this year who gave us some great pop gems in the way of Imogen Heap, Paolo Nutini, Jim Verraros, and Dangerous Muse. And who could not forget all the HOT Re-Invention and Confessions Tour Studio tracks that got leaked from Madonna…we thank whoever put their balls on the line for getting those remixes to us!

Most of all and most importantly – we made some new blog friends that kept us inspired and excited about sharing our musical musings with the rest of the world. Thanks to The Zapping, Poster Girl, Modern Fabulosity and Don’t Vote For Pedro for spreading our Electroqueer cheer this year.

Rajan Rudolph has been an electronic pop music obsessive ever since he heard Madonna's iconic debut album in the 80s. When he couldn't stop playing "Music For The Masses" by Depeche Mode, he instantly knew that electronic and pop music would be his life-long passion. Rajan is a dual citizen of the US and the UK and has lived in London since the summer of 2000. He created EQ Music as a passion project from the ground up having interviewed some of the biggest names in pop like Lady Gaga, Sia, Mika, Kelis, Robyn and every member of the Scissor Sisters. EQ Music is one of the UK's longest running influential pop blogs, regularly hosting showcase nights for emerging and established pop acts in the British capital. Rajan is also a full-time digital tech professional working at Warner Bros. Discovery and has contracted for MTV, Google, Huffington Post, Vogue, GQ and WIRED.
