It’s no stroke of luck that London based Arlissa has been leaving her imprints of one to watch talent excitement everywhere, since dealing us some radiantly beautiful contemporary alt-pop glamour through her teaser track release last summer “Hard To Love Somebody” that was championed by and went on to feature Nas.

Arlissa has kept up both the pace of hard graft and allurement by her striking folk pop eclectic mix of vocals and all world sounds. It undoubtedly brings something delicate, graceful and a shade Florence Welch to the table and has not only been sweeping me off my blogging chair but has also seen Arlissa named on this year’s BBC Sound of 2013 long list and earned her a much coveted spot on the New Years Eve Edition of Top Of The Pops. Where alongside a slew of the best acts and tracks of 2012 – Arlissa stood alone as a breakout artist and performed her debut single “Sticks And Stones”.

The debut single impresses with a tribalesque backbone of percussive rattle, the clean and uncomplicated nature of which allows Arlissa’s delicate and hauntingly affected vocal demeanour to truly grab the spotlight.
