Despite his curiously pretty stage name of Elle Belle, the alter-ego belonging to L.A. multi-instrumentalist Christopher Pappas is not at first what you’d assume to be expecting. To be honest, from our first impressions, think he just maybe quite enjoys challenging conventions! Kinda figures when you’re aware that the name-change came about whilst undergoing a creative transition from originally starting out in a band to branching off on a solo career.

The backbone of the Elle Belle project thrives by concentrating on confronting preconceived ideas and looking deeper into exploring lyrical narratives with a real true sense of authenticity. This rings very true of the artistic release that Pappas has now found as Elle Belle.

So he’s an artist of extremes. A chameleon who can slip-on a stage persona just as Bowie did so masterfully.

With that, Elle Belle’s not alone. As Benji Schwimmer Season Two winner of So You Think You Can Dance, interprets the powerfully resonating, awakening yourself to new experiences theme of song through a connection of dance fueled choreography.

This is not just a dude leaping through a contemporary dance routine with a light batten though! Schwimmer as a revoked Mormon, proud gay male turned LGBT activist was the perfect candidate to convey the weight of this empowering song narrative into a visual art form.

A video of such beautiful simplicity really does act in this instance, as the cohesive glue that brings all aspects of this electronic rock generated track together in the most far reaching of ways.

In saying this, take a note from what Bowie told us by way of a little amendment by us. We can all be superheroes even for just for one day if we’ve a light saber to guide us.
