MNEK 2

It doesn’t seem five minutes at all since the kooky but cool kid MNEK, jostled his way through on the EQ radar of discovery, yet in these intervening years, the teenage talent has gone to some quite high places with regard to his songwriting and production skills. Everyone from Clean Bandit to Duke Dumont, Gorgon City to Tanika, Little Mix to Kylie have now in some way been the subject of MNEK’s magic touch.

Given the recent successful collaborations with both Gorgon City and Duke Dumont, MNEK’s bid to be a proper popstar in his own right has also upped the ante, and which is deftly demonstrated upon, by the stripped back urban phat that is delivered via taster track “Don’t Call This Love”.

Since when behind all those production desk’s did MNEK’s vocal’s evolve to become so silky soulful and urban powerfully rich!, quite clearly MNEK’s previous solo efforts “If He’s The One” and “Truth Be Told” had only glimpsed upon the pop prodigy’s vocal qualities, added to the fact that both came served ready with a definite pop orientated outlook.

For, what MNEK deliver’s on “Don’t Call This Love” is quite of another league of fantastic, altogether.

Wise up to this mega talent, if you haven’t done so already, as in a short space of time from now new single “Every Little Word” is to be upon us.
