Foxes

A jog to the memory, Foxes sophomore album “All I Need” was finally released back in February! The album kind of snuck up on us in the end, after having its schedule date put back, so enabling the whirlwind of talent that is Foxes to go off and do other arts based things, like acting and so forth.

Unusually though the release has occurred between two legs of touring, which see’s Foxes gearing up for a few more UK dates through May before she takes her live show overseas to entertain America in her part as support act to Coldplay.

First up though, she’s dishing out one of “All I Need’s” highlight tracks “Cruel” as her new point of focus.

It isn’t hard to see why “Cruel” was selected as the chosen the one as we head into summer, since despite its rather bittersweet intentions, it is lifted by a raft of shimmery pop embraced, bubbling melody.

Also, it adds a playful element to the poignant nature of the lyrics, allowing Foxes spirited side to really shine out full of her happy-go-lucky character. Yet, as with all of Foxes output there is that noticeable endearing quality which sets out to have us all charmed with a flash of her smile.

On the “Cruel” visual it is plain to see just what the pop starlet has tapped into, it’s that feeling of sheer liberation akin to being home alone and reveling gleefully in the throes of freedom it gives.

Foxes really is one of the most down-to-earth of popstar types isn’t she! Amazingly talented but with a humbling persona which passes her off as the stereotypically quintessential girl-next-door, when arguably she is anything but!
