Dumblonde

I feel at this time of year, especially when approaching all hallows eve, there is a requisite for a spooky themed video to make an appearance on the pages of EQ.

I hand the baton over to Dumblonde, the alternative dance pop creation of former Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex, who after putting their girl band days behind them, are far from done in fashioning new pop.

With a renewed vigour the bandmates have expanded upon their artistic flair and stretched their artistry into an expansive arena of contemporary envisaged abstract dance pop, which is more black magical spookilicious than Little Mix, on new single release “Carry On”.

The song is built around a jabbing drum beat serving purpose to herald in the ladies ethereally sweet but in everyway beguiling topline and the visuals are loosely built around the American Horror Story aesthetic.

What can we say. Aubrey and Shannon make a stunning pair of witchedy pop queens and their gaze is so transfixing, if a little freakily eerie, if I might say so, but not enough to put the frightners up us.
