EKKAH just keep on giving us what we want. Funk writhing jams of plenty enough disco boogieness to penetrate the dancefloor. Which as the EKKAH’s told us in our recent EQ Interview is exactly what they set out to do, by making the kind of music to get our shoes shuffling across the dancefloor.
With influences that lie in big party style bands such as Chic and Earth Wind and Fire, EKKAH take the source of their inspiration to a new colourful level with new single “Can’t Give It Up”.
The ladies have been rummaging through the vintage dress-up box we thinks. While they are quite taken with kaftans’, polo neck jumpers, catsuits, flares and retro oversized shades they are steering away from the hot-pants. Maybe because some other boy dude or two from a dance troupe who have shimmied there way into the big disco video picture of this, has squeezed themselves into them.
No points in guessing who rules in this video. The girls do. Rightly so because this song is nothing but funkalicious and EKKAH are the queens of the dancefloor pop mastercuts, so they are!
