Adam Lambert is certainly making up for his stretch of creative silence, and it seems that the promo pointing towards Adam’s upcoming “The Original High” album release is firmly on the get go since he revealed it’s phenomenal introductory single “Ghost Town”.

There’s barely been time to allow the disco dust settle on the above, when we are back into countdown mode and treated to the reveal of another track.

So as to offer up some diversity into the mix, second countdown single “Underground” first comes in dressed in the guise of a piano steered ballad and which goes on to open out into a futurisitcally darkened sonic pop effort.

Revealed as one of the key tracks from “The Original High”, “Underground” denotes the release of emotional power amidst a mix of gritty narrative’s and mesmerising R’n’B flipped tinges.

The soul-baring track tells of the all-consuming hold of becoming addicted to someone’s love and couldn’t be more received than in the lyrics:- “>When you’re gone, When you’re gone it’s like I’m in one second in time, I’m frozen. When you’re gone, When you’re gone it’s like I lost one half of my mind, I’m stolen”

The tonality of Adam’s vocal here is truly captivating in its breadth of enveloping richness. The connection is genuine and raw and ultimately brought to the fore in the most poignantly earnest of pop moments.
