I’m going to say it! While the mainstream contrived pop mush of Will.I.am and
Britney does absolute diddly squat for me, I am beyond thrilled to see that one
of my most favourite EQ Discovery artists YADi has put up another track online.
In
a live recording session filmed at the Fish Factory Studios, YADi tore into her
mystical taster track of yore “Sahara Heart” and went on to additionally unveil
a track that is new to me “The Blow”.
Coming
at us somewhat indie, YADi’s multicultural blend of pop is right on the money
for me. Suffice to say, I can’t help but remain in adoration of Hannah YADi’s
svelte emotionally outpoured vocals.
“The
Blow” is a co-write between YADi and American record producer Ariel Rechtshaid
who has also been behind hits for Haim, Charli XCX, and Sky Ferreira.
It’s
been quite a journey over the last couple of years to this point for YADi, but
I sincerely hope that 2013 will bring much more of her stylish pop to the
fore. I so WANT it and I know that I'm not standing alone on this.
