JAGMAC

Sibling suited up pop group JAGMAC have crossed our new music threshold before, via singles “Existence” and “Get Your Groove Back”. The six piece out of Baltimore really have been packing out the jams, giving a broad depth of their capabilities which have extended to fusions of urban, hip-hop, rap and funky fresh, retro throwback stylings.

Proving that they are anything but one trick ponies, the musical Patalinghug family unit strike out with a full-on entry into pop bangerdom by way of new single “Soldiers”.

Whilst a Wideboy’s remix is always a failsafe assurance to gain access into the clubbing and dancefloor arena, (they certainly a good hand-in with their production assistance in establishing the pop careers of The Saturdays, The Wanted and Little Mix, afterall) this fizzy and euro-pop flavoured number is pumped up in glittery disco spun action, which seems set on a trajectory to ensure JAGMAC have every opportunity to capitalize upon their new shiny band status.

Let’s face it when it comes to falls to pure unbridled pop bands coming into existence, it’s not something that has been a very massive growth area over the past few years. To add some much needed new life into the all but dying band format as seen in mainstream pop. In the wake of The Saturdays hiatus, 1D’s disbanding and Little Mix’s ‘Get Weird’ campaign all but at an end, JAGMAC might quite inadvertently find themselves at the helm of it.

The band are certainly being prepped into action though, as JAGMAC have a crack writing team on board who have assisted in penning hits for Miley Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera. So just saying, what tumbles out from JAGMAC from here-on-in could be worthy of putting them on a world stage in the long run.

Nonetheless, an empowering anthem such as “Soldiers” is, is a worthy head-start on this.
