Lawson

I get remixes submitted to me all the time for feature consideration on site, but you know, just pushing a generic club standard mix my way, goes no way in impressing me, much being the case why you haven’t so much seen a remix featured here for quite some time now.

The last I heard from remix producer Kat Krazy was a phenomenal re-work of Bastille’sPompeii”, however, that’s not to say that there hasn’t been a steady stream of re-workings coming out of the Kat Krazy house, as only recently Kat has also assumed another alias that of Kid Arkade.

Kat Krazy is the name I know and I know it be one which by association, steps up high octane but intuitively creative mixes, so when I saw this latest remix of Lawson single “Roads” sitting on my Soundcloud timeline, I pre-emptively kinda knew already that it would be some way good.

Given that “Roads” in its original edit is best tagged with quirky pop honours, Kat Krazy therefore, serves as one of the more fitting choices around to give it a full disco club blitzing makeover. This one comes through with techno-house flourishes and effectively considered neo-soul funky breakdowns, the latter of which I consider to be this mixes stand apart highlight.

The heat on this mix is enough to fire my feet into breaking out a few hot steps and even encourage me to undo a couple of buttons on my cardigan into the bargain. There is still a nip in this spring time air you know!
