Something has been amiss in my new music playlists for a time that amounts to, too long!
The pointer in my state of discontent being that there hasn’t been any new material forthcoming for a while from the chicly sensational synth-pop chanteuse Cocovan, who wooed us with her pastel shaded pretty ditties, some couple of years ago now.
Truth is, even though Cocovan has been seemingly out of the spotlight she has been actively working up new tunes to wow us with. And the first in the new series “Mirage Of Us” which will lead to an EP full of new tunes, arrives in her own inimitable très magnifique, chic style.
Like neon plumes of princess Kylie Minogue and the cherry popping era of Madonna, Cocovan has landed in a whirl of 80’s throwback disco-pop, whereupon, it is resoundingly clear that the Parisian artist is returned in her optimum element.
The utter pure enjoyment “Mirage Of Us” brings is truly felt in the unashamedly retro-pop glowing end result.
Bring on Cocovan Chapter 2 – we are ready!
