Introduce me to an electronic embraced band who aren’t swayed by today’s current trends in music and I’ll tell for nothing they are more than likely to have these ears listening in fiercely!

In his former career with Handsome Furs and Wolf Parade, Canadian singer/songwriter and musician Dan Boeckner, now known under the guise of Operators, joined with Divine Fits drummer Sam Brown and Devojka on the analog’s, has concentrated his efforts down a sub-pop lane traversing the territory of goth-wave and post punk. He’s never really strayed far from these roots which is a feat in itself, with labels and piling on the pressure to meet certain criteria, more often than not. Obviously though Dan has had the fortune of linking up with people who completely appreciate, the music art he sets about creating.

Real edgy, electronic rock doesn’t have a habit of bubbling up to the surface too often these days, but when it does and is as flushed with bold throbbing glitchiness and gravelly dark vocal aesthetics’, as Dan Boeckner and the Operators band set-up possesses. It really does course through this music blog veins with a welcome revitalised surge adrenaline.

Earlier this year saw the band unleash their debut album “Blue Wave”. It’s one you should check out if you were ever a fan of The Cure, New Order or Echo and the Bunnymen et all alike. A superb selection tracks that will properly ignite the audio senses with an organic energy and dynamically intoxicating nod in throwback to one of the best of times enjoyed by electronic pop, that ever there was!

As Operators announce new single “Control” they also divulge european tour dates which will take in a stop-over at The Lexington in London on October 18th. By the shape of all gothy electronic things bleeding out of the album. We predict a night of some rioting sensory epicness and apocalyptically dynamic electro-rock fizzing synthiness occurring, right out of the metropolitan heart of London Town.
