Cocovan

It doesn’t matter how long the wait is for new Cocovan songs to arrive, since when they do, we can be pretty much assured in whatever the Parisian lovely has seen fit to offer up as a recording, will amount to something undoubtedly poptastically tasty.

We went some way in with Cocovan’s newly glowing procured sound on her most recent nostalgic-disco hit “Mirage Of Us” where there was also mention of a new EP in the works. Well we’ve since heard that it is more than a rumour and “The Club” EP is on its way, but first she’s giving us another taste of what’s to come with “Chic” (Someone To Love) a further track to be lifted of off it, which is now before us here for our listening pleasure.

A pleasure it always is, to listen to Cocovan, since her shimmering synth-pop style is oh so a touch understated, but always stylish.

Now looking to the 80’s era more than ever before for influence, Cocovan is embracing all the feels of “Material Girl” era Madonna in sound, which is making for a particularly disco strewn, pop party of retro-enormity as it happens.

Hey we were smitten by everything Cocovan from the off, that we’re still here and blissing out to all the new pop she’s bestowing upon us now, makes us bone fidé Cocovan diehards!
