When rising Canadian pop artiste Allie X recently paid a visit to the UK we wasted no time in fixing a date to arrange some chat time with the intriguing performer.

During her UK stopover, the fascinating emerging pop phenomenon took to the stage at two rather impressive shows. The first being a showcase at the British Summer Time festival and the second: her own headline show at Oslo.

Such is our increasing fascination with one of pop’s most interesting figures we were able to secure not one but two interviews with the burgeoning icon.

Prior to her packed out show at London’s Oslo venue, we picked up the reigns from our quick meet-up earlier at BST festival, further ceasing the opportunity to dig a little deeper into the creative mind of Allie X. We probed the singer/songwriter about her songwriting process, working with Troye Sivan, the influence of Mariah Carey, her new single ‘All The Rage‘ and her thoughts as a Canadian on American politics.

We’ve talked the talk, so now let’s go in for a piece of the live action from that fun sold-out gig at Oslo. This small montage from the show will leave you in no doubt of Allie X’s powerful stage presence and of how her adoring UK fans are truly captivated by her every sung note, gesture and movement she brings to the stage. In truth, have we had anyone so gregariously and engagingly looked upon like this since Cyndi Lauper first bounded upon the scene? Take a look and decide for yourselves!
