jesper-jenset

We have heard more than enough beyond terrible records put out by British footballers and such over the years that should never have happened.

So when we learned that Norway’s latest up-and-coming new talent Jesper Jenset swung from a career as a gymnast representing Team Norway on an international level to reinventing himself as one of Norway’s brightest singers/musicians. We proceeded with caution as to whether he’d have more talent in his pinkie finger than actually cutting it as a singer. We mustn’t forget that Jesper is of Norwegian stock though, and this totally has a much bigger accountability factor that differentiates from him passing off below par attempts at taking on a new career angle via pop. Anyways we caught sight that Sony Norway had invested a tonne of bucks in him so it’s a serious re-launch. What is more when we listened in to Jesper’s two singles “High” and “Lies” we became aware of this, with bells on.

Focus is switched onto the R’n’B / pop straddling “Lies” at this very moment. It more than suits to show off Jesper’s range of vocal dynamics which at once leaps out as being impressive and quite unexpected. It’s rather like Norway have found their own Justin Bieber and by this revelation we anticipate a few side-eye looks, but stick with us on this, as Jesper doesn’t seem the type to shut down his fans for whooping with enjoyment at one of his shows. Afterall, he’s spent the majority of his teen years in head-to-toe body sculptured lycra leotards and they’ve sure to have drawn a few squeals of admiration in their time.

From sports stadiums to music venue’s. Norway’s up-and-coming new talent Jesper Jenset is certainly beginning to make his presence felt in the music arena. And he hasn’t even broke past his teen years yet.

The sum of it all is that the boy can sing and he’s doing it very well, but he’s in a place where we really don’t know so much which direction in pop it’s going in. Either, which ever way Jesper’s got some tuneful pop sensible pipes on him.
