Greer

This kid Greer Wilson just totally won me as a fan. All it took was just one solitary listen to each of the Boston lads current tracks ‘Love Me Less’ and ‘Deal With The Devil’ and with no such flinch of hesitation Greer has ended on the pages of EQ.

Whilst not knowing very much about this young guy, but given that he’s chosen to take on pop flanked by boptastic dance beats and a noted nonchalantly cool lyrical flair has to be highly commended, because he’s so suited to these glitzy, super catchy throbs of re-spun disco boogie nights realness.

Totally it’s like Greer has struck out on a limb here, but you know, it wasn’t until a few recent years ago that a barrage of songs of this ilk were slapping our pop senses sideways. If this is an assuring return to the glory days, then all I know is Greer can keep his tracks coming at us.

At 19 years old Greer has time enough to grow, musically and stylistically. Nonetheless the signs are more than encouraging that he’s on the right track to see that these things through to actually happening. This being what has got me so hotted up in a full flush of adrenaline, that what we are witnessing in Greer could well be, by my estimation, one of the most exciting unsigned pop discoveries that has come to light for quite some time.

That’s enough of the assessing, let’s get dancing!
