Like most young boys Desmond John had ambitions of growing up to be a footballer, it was never on his mind that he’d go into music let alone embark on a career of it.

Funny how things change when you go through high school though and the world starts opening up around you with opportunities too voluminous and vast to take them all in.All it takes is just one pivotal moment and just like that, a chord is struck. You know your place. This is true of Desmond John and how he’s come to be undertaking a move into music.

Not all budding popstars get overheard by well-connected music industry insiders, when they first enter into a recording studio to experiment. You guessed it, a case of right time, right place for Desmond he actually jumped several hoops and found himself in the most fortunate position of working with Grammy award winning producers and musicians. They don’t come much bigger than Kuk Harrell whose worked with Rihanna, and Justin Bieber amongst a cast of others. Then there’s Kendrick Dean, DJ Toomp, and Li’l Ronnie also who have had a hand of guidance in on Desmond John’s aspiring pop career beginnings.

The way in which the music industry works these days, new acts don’t break-out proper until the third or fourth single, then we get the truer sense of their identity.

We know this much already. An encouragingly, promising introduction with dance-infused taster track “Untradable” certainly puts Desmond John’s name out there and with it a suggestion of where his pop embraced intentions might lead on and grow bigger from this. He definitely has some rather ear pleasing qualities first off, which are worth keeping an eye on for sure.
